Just to let you know, I have added the comics originally published on Eurobands. They have the original date stamp (the day they were published on EB) so don’t expect them as new comics. You can however see them by the Eurobands tag.

Featuring Dorian Deveraux from the German band Jesus On Extasy. It’s always a lot more difficult for me to make a comic on a band I don’t know, so I encountered some difficulties when I was asked to draw JoE, as they were featured on Eurobands that month. Dorian’s answer to the question is his actual words; I just… twisted the outcome. XD

I had been going around in circles trying to find an idea for a comic, and in the end Las, Commodore’s caretaker, supplied me with one.

Disclaimer: that interview (obviously) never happened, nor do I have any knowledge that the Selo brothers ever treated an interviewer that way.

No Finns were hurt in the making of this comic.

This is still to date one of my most epic comics. Inspired by a cover of Queen’s “Too Much Love Will Kill You” performed by various members of the Hype Records family, it turned into some kind of parody of the videoclip.
See, the cover was performed by members of 5 different bands at the time, which we all felt was a bit… “too much”. Jonne, Larry, Christus and Snack represented Negative; Jann Wilde, whichever band’s name he was playing under at the time; the unknown dude with the glasses is Christian Fjäder from Dead By Gun; and doing the background vocals were Ville Liimatainen (aka Lil Lii here) from Flinch and Jussi Selo from Uniklubi.
In the comic, I added Sammy from Private Line, as we joked a lot about Ville stealing his hairstyle, and Tina (the pink-haired squeeing over Kris’s stairs scene) who works for Eurobands.
As for the ending, I just figured that someone had to be sane enough to just get fed up and leave the overcrowded set, and Snack was perfectly designated for that XD

This is a feature in two parts, one for Close Inc and this one for Eurobands. Their simultaneous publication on their respective site brought me the most visitors within 24 hours so far in the Closet’s 4-year history.

Among the featurees, 3 characters from worlds foreign to the Closet: Cat Casino (who, I learned later, actually DID sport a flaming sunburn at the time) from Swedish goth band Deathstars; Josey Strandman, from Finnish band To/Die/For; and Big Boy, Swedish/German musician featured on Eurobands (about who I can’t find anything anymore >_>).

You can find Closet’s part HERE.

First actual comic done for Eurobands, based on Negative’s cover of Alice Cooper’s “Lost In America”, which featured Sir Christus for the vocals.

As you can see, Jonne is still disappointed not to be a girl v__v
