Characters’ Page + Music Post May
May 9, 2010 | 2 somethings
So I actually announced it everywhere but specifically here, BUT! The Character’s Page is now up and running. I finished yesterday to add the groupings by bands and such, so it’s more easily navigable. Most of you will already have gone through it, but well. It’s still there
Then! Music post!
~* })ï({ * ~
Apocalyptica has announced the release date for their upcoming album 7th Symphony, which is August 27. Among the collaboration, resident-guest Dave Lombardo (drummer; Slayer) on the track “2010″, Joseph Duplantier (singer; Gojira) on “Bring Them To Light”, Lacey Strum (singer; Flyleaf) on “Broken Pieces”, Brent Smith (singer; Shinedown) on “Not Strong Enough”, and for the first single, “End Of Me”, Gavin Rossdale from Bush.
(I’ve also been told, Mikko managed to get his hands on a cello contrabass (thank you Katja!) on “Beautiful” .__.)
In addition, if anyone has the occasion to, Apocalyptica will be played at the Festival D’été de Québec, in Quebec City, Canada, on Sunday July 18th. It might be worth it to check it out, because surprisingly, Rammstein will also be playing there on the very same day. Benzin, anyone?
~ * ~
Naked is preparing the release of a new album, Double Down, on a yet unconfirmed date. You can listen to a preview of a few track on MySpace. Don’t forget to become fan on Facebook to stay updated
~ * ~
Negative released their new video for the single “End Of The Line”, which you can see below:
(Better quality video than previously, thanks Karen for the heads up
)
Neon, their new album, will be out on June 2nd in Finland.
~ * ~
SURPRISE! Private Line is not dead and will perform twice of their ever few gigs this summer. You can see them at Pegorock Festival in Mantova, Italy, on June 2nd, and in Helsinki at Dante’s Highlight, on June 4th. Tickets for Helsinki on Tiketti.
~ * ~
Reminder: The Salvation is playing at Semifinal, in Helsinki, on May 21rst. Tickets 7€ on Tiketti.

I… think I don’t have anything else to add…? Upcoming: Festival Post

From here and there
April 18, 2010 | 2 somethings
A somewhat short update:
As announced Pinkass and I went to the Negative gig at Nosturi in Helsinki; within the next 2 days, a review and pictures will be available
Also, as Mr Jack Smack was present at the show, I learned from him that The Salvation will sadly not get to blow up the Myllysilta in Turku.
I’m quite disappointed for them, but well, that’s life.
Also, as he was quite keen to remind me, they’re playing in Turku next Friday, and in Helsinki on May 21rst. If anyone is planning to go to the Hki one, please let me know
New comic sketched in my shinee sketchbook; hopefully online also in the next few days
Take care!!

Aiiiiiiieeee….. Music Post
April 11, 2010 | 1 something
Yes, yes, I know, many weeks without anything… v___v I have many ideas but never the right mood. *sighs*
I *DO* have stuff in the works, so, don’t despair!
In the meantime, have a music post
~*~
Apocalyptica are still on tour now somewhere in the world. They have been playing new songs live, and the videos found their way on the net…
Sacra and Beautiful (Youtube, opens in a new window)
~*~
No new from Bloodpit, but Alarik has new projects, The Cloudycators (MySpace and Facebook) and Jalava (MySpace).
Antti and Pietu also have a new project, Ravín And The Deceivers. They have neither a MySpace or a Facebook, but you can try to find online where they might be playing =3
~*~
Negative is still touring, and this Friday they’re at Nosturi in Helsinki. Pinkass and I are going =3 Yes, yes, I promise we’ll behave =3
~*~
This is actually making my night. Speaking of night, Nightwish just posted the answers to the latest Nightmail. Dead gameboy batteries is a good justification for starting to read =)
~*~
Personal recommendation: I got my hands on the new Poets Of The Fall album, Twilight Theater, and I love it. So does Pinkass. Marko recently has a throat infection and they had to postpone a few shows, but hopefully he’ll be back in no time
~*~
Now this will be old news for some of you, but I have to write it anyway ![]()
Many months ago, our dear Pinky Sir Christus announced that he quit his band (I don’t actually remember which one it was – SnoWhite?) to work on another project.
And so he did!
A few weeks ago, a new band went public: The Salvation (Facebook, MySpace).
Now don’t get too excited, there’s no music posted yet.
BUT. It looks pretty serious. For one, the other guitarist of the band is none other than Jack Smack from Private Line. For two, they’re already signed to Hype Records. For three, their manager is Tommi Liimatainen himself, who, after seeing Kris’s course to hell during the old Negative days, must have had a damn good reason (other than, he’s a damn good guitarist) to take this up again.
They are set to record this summer, and though many are hoping, no plan for a Tammerfest appearance has been made so far. They do encourage you to contact the festival’s organization though.
To celebrate the new band, Tommi has offered the city of Turku many hundred of thousand euros to blow up one of the bridges over Aurajoki. Though it’s been decided in the past few days that the bridge, currently out of order as the sides have partially sunk, would be replaced, no word has been issued on what would happen to the old one.
How exciting. I went to Turku with a friend around Easter and we took pics of the bridge. We officially crossed a new line: bridge stalking.
Stay tuned.

Finally, Uniklubi have been in the studios for a while now. You can follow their diary on the forum, in Finnish and in English.

Music poooooost!
March 11, 2010 | Say something!
Let’s go in alphabetical order
~*~
Apocalyptica have announced the title of their new album: 7th Symphony. Which is such a very fitting title, as it’s their 7th album ![]()
As a new album comes out touring starts again! First dates are in Finland, starting with Savonlinna. Of course, they’ll be coming near me, but in the middle of the week, so it means I won’t be able to see them. *sighs*
For all the dates (hopefully some near you! and more convenient than in my case >_>) click HERE.
~*~
Bloodpit is currently on a creative break.
Not completely sure what it means but we just have to wait. Hopefully new material soon ![]()
In the meantime, Alarik is having fun with a new band, The Cloudycators. According to their Facebook page, they’re currently recording a new song. You can here them on their MYSPACE.
~*~
Day Eleven put their third album out, Matador, at the end of January. It’s quite awesome, obviously (my favorite off it is Montage =3). GO GET IT!
~*~
Negative are preparing for the coming of their 5th album, Neon, in June (Finland: June 2nd). The first single, End Of The Line, is speeding up chart now!
(In my opinion it’s promising to be a very good album
)
~*~
Nightwish didn’t really put anything news out there in a while, not directly concerning the band anyway. However, the Nightmail has been reopened (until today, sadly, it’s now closed) so the next answers will be published in the beginning of April.
In related news however, Anette proudly announced last week that she’s halfway through her pregrancy (surprise!) and that everything is going great. At 38, she’s already a proud mother to a boy who will be 9 by the time the new baby arrives. Though she insisted that it does not change anything regarding Nightwish, she has decided to push back the release of her solo material to an ulterior moment. Recordings for the new NW album will begin this fall, but she will probably only record her vocal in the beginning of 2011.
Marco, on his side, has been having fun in women’s swimming suits and braiding his hair. No, he’s not any madder than he always was. He’s just directing a choir for the Finnish TV show Kuorosota (“Choir War”) and seems to be enjoying himself very much. You can watch him on Nelonen if you’re in Finland, or HERE if you’re not.
~*~
Poets of the Fall released a new video a month ago now (“Dreaming You Wide Awake“) and damn, do I love that man’s voice <3 Their new album, Twilight Theater, is coming out on March 17. Stay tuned!
~*~
Private Line still haven’t updated their website from like, 2 years ago or something? They played Trashfest III in Helsinki last week though, which I couldn’t attend as I was being sick in Sweden. If anyone got pics or a review of it, feel free to send links or such ^_^
~*~
Finally, Sonata Arctica is currently touring North America, which is absolutely awesome since I’m not there to see them /sacrcastic. Check HERE to see if you’re on their way! (ARGH! Club Soda in Montreal! That was my first venue ever, for The Rasmus concert…. T_T)

Listen to Juhaaaa… Hyvää Ystävänpäivää!!
February 13, 2010 | 5 somethings

Reflexion covered Roxette’s ‘Listen To Your Heart’ song.
Please do note that Juha’s hair is red. And long.
The League decided to overlook that… mistake of him.
~*^_^*~
In similar news, Reflexion will soon be putting out their new album, The Edge. You can listen to 2 news songs on their MySpace page ![]()
I’ll remind you that their previous drummer, Reiska, had to leave (in good terms) for personal reasons. They now have another Ilkka behind the drumkit (one of the guitarists is also named Ilkka).

Grand Opening! :D
January 13, 2010 | 5 somethings
Dear Closeteers,
It is with sheer delight that I officially announce that Closet-Inc.com is now open!
After much work, and precious help from so many friends and family members, I have finally transferred the essential content of Closet Inc. over to this server.
New ways to navigate!
If you look on the left side of this page, you can see the numerous words in various font size: those are the tags I have applied to each comic. You’re looking for Teemu? Click on the corresponding tag. You’re looking for League comics? Same idea.
The biggest words are the ones used most frequently.
If you look on the right side of this page, you’ll see the archives: you can browse through comics by month.
(you can also see which months have been most active, and you can appreciate the vertical wave created by the months’ listing 8D)
At the bottom of this page, you can see the link “Previous”: this will take you to the 8 posts prior to the ones listed on the main page. There are 182 comics to date, so that makes about 23 pages.
When you’re viewing a single comic (for example, http://www.closet-inc.com/league1), you’ll see links at the bottom of the post, offering you to visit the previous comic, or the next. No more returning to the index everytime you’re done reading a post!
Easier to comment!
One of the most awesome features of this site is the commenting. Each comic has a comment box (“Say something!”) embedded in the post, requiring only your name (or not, if you’ve registered – more on that further on). You can now easily comment on each comic, without having to visit the guestbook, or one of the other website I post links on.
You can register!
Well, that title says it all: you can actually register on this site in order to post comments more easily, and subscribe to the feed. I like to know who reads my comics
~*~
Upcoming!
I will add other things to this site in the next weeks.
First, a few comics, before all the ideas I still have slip between my braincells.
Then, I’ll be doing the characters’ page you can see above, which is basically empty for now. See, I have so many of them, it get a little long ^_^;;
I would also like to make a page for the bands, since you know, they are a big focus. I love them and I want the world to know them
I might do another index, similar to the one I had on GooglePages, with thumbnails for visual references. Again, that will take a LONG time to do, since, you know, 182 posts. v__v
I’d like to add a twitter feed on the site, too, so I don’t bother everyone subscribing to the feed with my rambling, but I’d like it to appear here too.
Eventually, a reference gallery. This idea has been around for a long time, but I haven’t managed it yet. See, often my comics are inspired by a photo, which is funny in itself. Having a gallery to browse it all could be funny. I’ll have to work on the copyrights of those pictures though =3 (meaning, getting permission from their owners).
An icon page. A button page. So many things I want to do.
But now! Everything is open
I just need the right codes and the right people to help if I can’t manage it alone XD
Closet Inc. will be entering its 5th year in some 2 months – it’s already been 4 years, can you imagine! – and will hopefully keep bringing smiles to your faces
If you notice anything wrong in the posts – an image is not showing, that photo is yours (“take it off!” “credit me!”), typo, wrong info, video not working, broken link, anything – please just point it out in a comment
FINALLY, please note that the contact email address to reach me is now waury (at) closet-inc (dot) com. The previous one listed on gmail – closet.inc.sseksi – will still work, and everything will reach me in any case. But the main email will be with closet-inc.
I hope you will all enjoy the new site =)
Take care!!
~Laury M. Dragon
