About

Closet Inc. is a webcomic with no specific storyline or plot. The characters are inspired mostly by Finnish musicians, though a few of my friends made appearances in there (American, Québécoises, Dutch, Canadian, etc.) as well as few musicians of other nationalities, and original characters.
As a general rule though, a typical character is male, Finnish, and a musician.

Which leads us, again, to: they ARE characters. As far as I know, none of them are actually true to the people who inspired them. The personas are a mix of personal points of view, imagination and what was needed to fit comical purposes.
The situations they appear in are also mostly fictional, or at best inspired by true events or facts. Please keep in mind that unless there was a more official or reliable source mentioning an event I’ve illustrated, what you’ll see here is not to be considered true.

Closet Inc. has been created for the sole purpose of entertaining my friends and myself. Discovering the universe of webcomics with the girl who’d become Pinkass, I was tickled by the comment she once made about it: ‘It would be really cool to have our own webcomic…’
Read: Dammit, I can’t draw.
So I thought, well I can draw. Let’s give it a try. So I did. At first it was really just the fun of drawing characters.
Then I made a blog, posted the drawings on, posted more… I named it ‘closet inc’ on, again, my friend’s recommendation. It was inspired by a game she had with someone else, about ‘claiming’ musicians that they’d then ‘hide’ in their closet.

Imaginary of course. But oh so fun.

At the same time I started joining online communities, and I’m both blessed and cursed of attracting people kinda intent on promoting my stuff. So very slowly, my blog got more visitors.
Not that I knew anything about it at the time. The counter was only installed at the end of November 2006, 8 months after I first put up the first drawing. By that time, too, I had moved from a blog to Googlepages, which allowed me a lot more freedom.

This is not bragging, but I’m extremely proud of those 2 little facts: I’ve had over 60,000 visitors within the first 3 years (well, starting at the installation of my counter), from over 60 countries all over the world.
I like to think that, at some point, people from everywhere and every culture can be linked through humor, and that I’m a little part of it =)

Now anyone who knows me in real life would know I could easily write my whole life here and bore you to death, so I’ll make this short.
I’m a mid-20-something girl from the Montreal area, in Quebec, Canada. Best and worst thing about me is that I go to each extreme of the emotional scale.
I love arts, music, animals, sciences, psychology, anthropology, books, movies, comics. I’m too romantic for my own good and too passionate for anyone’s good.
I’ve studied 2 years of graphism (out of a 3-year major) then quit cause it wasn’t my place.
(Yeah, I work a lot on hunches. Mines happen to be right 75% of the time.)
I’ve been obsessed with Finland for a few years now, and am hoping to go live there at some point. Eventually I’d like to work in translation or in similar department.

I think that’s all. Oh! I like to think I’m a bit crazy and abnormal. If you don’t think so, please keep it to yourself =)
